how good do you all think the chances of an acceptance are if you are interviewed early enough in the game at both your state schools and you grades and mcat are right around their averages? This is excluding cali schools. Sorry, I know you guys must have it really tough. I'm talking about kentucky specifically but thoughts on any other states in general would be appreicated also. 🙂

I'd say pretty good. State schools usually have a high percentage of in-state matriculants.

I'd say pretty good. I got rejected by Kentucky pre-secondary but I'm out-of-state. I got told that "unless I can show strong ties to or residency in Kentucky" I better have basically 12's and 13's across the board, and a 3.8 or above. Not a flat-out-rejection, but a "don't waste your time or ours" letter. *sigh*. At least they were nice enough to let me know before I spent any more money on them.

Last cycle, Louisville accepted 83% of its in-state interviewees.

Oh aparecida. you always have a way of making me feel better! Also my friend interviewed there today and he said that the director told him and the rest of the interview group that they are trying to recruit more women (only 2/8 of the people being interviewed today were women.) Guess that ups my chances a little more. 🙂
