West Virigina??

I prefer not to go to a private school like NYU or Case but at the same time I definitely don't wanna waste my money on any in state school that accepts 0 out of staters. can anyone add more to the list especially on the east coast. also, i would like to know which ones that allow you to qualify for in state tuition rate after the first year. state schools are really a steal compared with NYU's outrageous tuition.

note that for anyone who goes to schools in new york or california they can add 50K to your tuition bill since both states now require one year general residency during which you will likely make significantly much less than your counterparts in other states.

west virginia highly favors in-state or out of state with strong w.v. ties. Getting in out of state with no ties is pretty hard i heard.

No, you don't have to add anything to your tuition bill. You only have to do a residency if you actually want to practice in those states which require one. Where you go to school doesn't influence where you will ultimately practice. You can still attend dental school in NY or CA and go practice in a different state that doesn't require a residency (for example, Texas) the day after graduation (assuming you pass the licensing exam required by Texas and get your TX license in time to start the day after graduation).

Get the ADEA book and take a look at the percentage of instate applicant vs. out of state applicants accepted.

Also, I believe IUPUI is out of state friendly

I would say West Virginia seems to be pretty friendly to out-of-state residents. I am a Texas resident and was offered an interview with just average DAT scores.

UNLV, Ohio State, Virginia Commonwealth, Buffalo, etc.

Get the ADEA book and check it out.

MICHIGAN!!! i am out of state and there are many many more like me! we also pay alot more in tuition too!

What wrong with the private schools???

Pittsburgh, most definitely. Out of state and instate tuition are pretty close to each other.

not WVU unless you have connections to the school/state

They even have the breakdown of students from each state. You can see not only if they are friendly to out of state students, but if they are friendly to the students in your state.

Predents.com also works for this.

I'm going to WVU this fall...I am out of state but I have strong ties to WV and thats very important to them..and even then they usually only have 12 slots at the most for out of state.
