Hi everyone im posting for the first time and i have a few question. Does anyone happen to know if U of Luisville or U of Kentucky are state schools? and if anyone has been to USC and U of Colorado interviews please give me some feedback and your stats if its not too much hassle. i dont like the fact that in MA we have no state schools...

thanks a bunch!

Kentucky and louisville are state schools. I just interviewed at louisville and they said that they interview 125 out of state people and accept around 36. as of two weeks ago they already had 900 application completed. I thought that was crazy.

Kentucky accepts even less out of state applicants. In 2002 they accepted 39 total people and then they had 15 out of state applicants.

hope that helps

and the chances in colorado are even less....they accept maybe 2-3 out of staters that are not WICHE certified...If you count WICHE, then you are looking at possibly 9-10 total.

Hi Nendo,

I think I remember from previous posts that UConn does give somewhat higher priority to New England applicants than out-of-staters from other regions of the country, precisely because there are no other state dental schools in the region. Perhaps you can try applying there too.

HTH!

i'd love to go to uconn but they are reaaally selective and my stats are kinda iffy...thanx though! does anyone know of other state schools that accept lots of outstaters?

From what I understand, Louisville accepts quite a few out-of-state students.
