Hi, I want to take a course in statistics to satisfy some medical schools requirements of taking one semester of statistics. I'm not sure what kind of course they require. Does it have to be under the math department or can it be in business or economics? I'll attach a picture of the class I want to take. Thanks in advance for any responses.

For the most part, I think any statistics course should be fine because AMCAS tells you to designate classes as BCPM based on the course’s description, and not the department it’s in. Personally, I took a statistics class from the psych department. I don’t anticipate any issues with most medical schools accepting it, however there may be schools that are particularly picky about the math requirement (although I am not aware of any in particular).

Regular Stats:
John bought 30 apples in his bag and 3 of those apples are yellow. What is his chance of getting a yellow apple if he randomly selects an apple from his bag?
Business Stats:
John has 30 customers visiting his store in an hour and 3 of them wants an apple pie. What is his chance of selling an apple pie per hour?
This is what I believe the diff. between stats vs biz stats lolol

Does anyone else recommend biostats?
