Stats of Applicants to Irish schools and Acceptance, Waitlist or Rejection

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
for people with RCSI acceptance letters, where is it post marked from? ABP in cali or RCSI in dublin

Is today the only day they are sending out acceptances?

Noo it varies, they probably have more to send out, it loosely depends on the geographic location, method of shipment and program applied to.

Received an acceptance offer today from RCSI's five-year programme. Federal Express package was dispatched to my flat this morning in here Seattle, WA, USA. Haven't discovered word yet from Trinity.
Is your offer conditional or unconditional?

My package said that my offer was conditional on me finishing my bachelors degree and paying them. I'm assuming the 5 year program offers are just conditional on payment.

Just got home (Boston) with nothing at the door...so called Fedex to see if anything was being shipped to my address and the response i got from them was "there is a Fedex label created by ABP but they haven't shipped it yet...it should arrive within 2 days...no signature necessary since it doesn't ask for one but you can leave a note at the door to deliver it without the signature." Hope this helps a few of you out here on the east coast.

BTW, Im applying for the RCSI GEP and interviewed in NY on 2/24.

Any news from the west coast? So far it seems like mainly Americans and East coast.

So maybe they will come tomorrow because I have not heard anyone getting into yet....fingers crossed though

lol yea I'm still hoping something will come tomorrow, but some people from Ontario/ Quebec have got theirs. Also, I didn't feel like my interview was that great...

Wow, got an acceptance to RCSI 4 year GEP. Apparently FedEx guy attempted to deliver it yesterday to my home address, but father neglected to tell me just in case. Just got word it arrived, I'm excited!

Where abouts do you live salad? Also congrats!!

I presume the 6-year program acceptances haven't been issued yet. (I am guessing its because the 6 years receive a larger package containing more detailed information on university, the program, etc. )

^ waiting also 6 year. I interviewed on Feb 27th in Toronto.
Plus I called they said next week.

Anyone know when Trinity Med School will release their admission decisions? Based on the past, its anytime around now

I want to know if I am competitive for the Irish schools or not. Would it be a good idea to email ABP, and ask them about my chances. I want to plan accordingly while I still have the time, in case I don't get accepted. Does ABP give advice on the chances on an application?

Had to go back and look, cGPA of 3.92 sounds good + publication, have you written the MCAT or are you applying to 5 yr programs?

Your application was over a month past their first deadline (Nov 15) so you may have been ineligible for first round offers for RCSI. Just wait it out, if your stats are accurate you will most likely hear decent news in the future.

I am applying to the 5 year programs at RCSI and Trinity. I was a nonscience major though and have done only the required premed courses (bio, chem, phys, orgo, and physiology). seeing that nearly everyone accepted was a science major, you think thats a negative for admission into the Irish schools? Also, my university is not a highly ranked US university.
