I just received a rejection letter from RCSI. The interview invites should be coming anytime now I'm guessing, since they are weeding out the rejects.

I wrote to ABP for a status update and yea RCSI are sending out rejections now! Well, looks like UCD is my last hope and if not, its back to square 1. At least when I reapply next year I'll be able to apply for GEP programs and not just 5/6 yr programs
yeah me too. Apparently, the others have sent out their second rounds and we might be in the third round of offers considering that we have not heard anything yet.
Just to confirm, I was in contact to ABP this afternoon. The list for interview invites from RCSI has been made and finalized for second round as of this morning (unfortunately, i'm not included on that list) and invites went out. UCD has started sending out offers already.
Thanks for the update atran017. Hopefully, you are still in the race and won't be handed a rejection letter. I am crossing my fingers for ucd at this point. Best of luck friend! 🙂

So I assume that if we didn't get one by now invitation-wise then we didn't make the second round? Or are they still going out?
If anyone has gotten good news for the latest round - interview invites, UCD/UCC/etc acceptances would you be so kind as to post on here? So far it seems like all that has gone out is bad news...

by mail. don't worry, not upset about it. Couldn't go over anyway.
Just officially withdrew my application. It is probable I would not have been accepted to UCC or UCD anyway, but maybe this will free a spot up for somebody.

I wonder what it means to receive neither a rejection nor an interview invitation from RCSI.
My guess is that if you haven't heard anything from RCSI or Limerick yet, you'll receive a rejection letter in the mail soon. You would be notified about an interview 3 wks in advance and I don't think they are going to conduct interviews at the end of May.

At least two rounds, and in some cases three, if I recall correctly.
I specifically asked AB if I had been rejected at RCSI or trinity and I wasn't (as of today).
The ones who haven't heard are in some sort of holding pattern. I guess they are waiting to see how many spots they have left after round 2.

But do you know if second round offers went out yet? That's what I'm most curious about. It seems like no one, at least on SDN forums, has gotten a second round offer yet, that or they are being shy about posting 😛. I just find it weird that the rejections went out and a few kind souls posted about that, and yet I haven't seen any interview invites/acceptances yet for round 2. Unless we're all unlucky and none of us have gotten any round two offers, I'm hoping that it's just delayed.
Yeah seems to be very odd that only rejections have gone out. I would really hope so that second rounds of offers go out soon bc going into an uncertain summers seem unfair!
I guess the best scenario at the moment is "no news is good news." I haven't received any correspondance from the schools or APB...they just say I haven't been rejected...so I guess that's good for what it's worth.

You and me both. My coworker keeps asking every day if I've heard anything. And don't forget, checking the credit card statement to look for that ever elusive Fedex charge....
Part of me wants to email ABP, but I feel it would just be bothering at this point and delaying the decisions further. Cause if he's answering emails he's not working on the apps or playing whatever part he does in decisions... And if it's anything like what the rest of us have been hearing - not rejected, I'm not sure it's super helpful.

Guess what? I'm beginning to enjoy this feeling of uncertainly. It is now as if an extension of my body -- I can hardly imagine what life would be like without it! Either way, come the end of summer, I know that this feeling will be missed. Better embrace its company for the moment being.

Or are they saying second round has gone out but you're not rejected yet, so hang on for the hope of third round offers? So if that's the case, none of us on here got second round offers 😵. Or have second round offers not gone out yet?
So many questions. It's hard to really enjoy the summer when you're not sure how to prepare for fall. At this point I'm kinda treating it like I didn't get in. Tempted to spend some of the money I saved for the deposit....

I'm not positive, but I can speculate that the offers are for people that have already been interviewed at Limerick.
AB told me in March that Limerick will be conducting interviews in mid-April, so I'm considering myself out of the game w/ respect to Limerick, but every applicant is different. I believe that you must be interviewed to gain acceptance at that school.

I was told that the 2nd round of interviews for RCSI were supposed to take place in May and you would receive 3 weeks notice beforehand. There is only 2.5 weeks left in May. So I'm not sure if there will be more interview invitations coming.

ABP said that the interviews were being held in May for round two for RCSI, so there might not be a chance for this round for those who have not heard anything yet. But, there may be a third round once round two is taken care of. So, I would wait it out until June to see what happens. Never know.

same here.
I just got my GAMSAT score- which I am assuming is why I haven't heard from UCC, UCD, or RCSI. I did really well, 92 percentile, so I am really hoping for an acceptance ASAP because this has been such a long process! Who else is still waiting for any of these schools?

Thats fantastic news! So jealous, the Irish GAMSAT scores havent come out yet so fingers crossed I get at least 60. Most schools will accept people in 75 percentile.
I had no choice but to take the GAMSAT since I was stuck in Ireland finishing the PhD (Ignore my info where it says Medical/PhD, they had no option for PhD alone of PhD/pre-medical
)Im in same boat as you since they have been holding my applications waiting for GAMSAT score and each day seems longer than the next! Hopefully they will be out by Friday 🙄
Congrats again, thats some achievement since post people have to take it 3+ times to get such great marks.
