I make this thread because I am curious about how people stayed positive during the application cycle. As an average applicant it can get overwhelming when those around you are getting interviews left and right.

So what tips or advice do you all have?

I'm with you. I literally binge watched all of Community over the last week. 😳

How about below avg. app & no II's. And all I can do is keep refreshing email. 🙁

Worrying will not change anything. What is the worst thing that could happen? You don't get in this cycle and you have a chance to boost your application for the next cycle? That may seem like the end of the world but it's not.

Running. Relaxing with my family. Focusing on what I can control. Staying away from SDN ... 😉

Learning something new and challenging that does not involve the use of the internet.

Focusing on my scribe job when I'm in the ER. Listening to my friends when they hang out with me and chat (more infrequent and much harder to do now that I've graduated and most of my friends are still in undergrad). Doing a little bit of interview prep every day for the 2 early II's I received. Watching Netflix (just finished Dexter, was disappointed with the ending). Staying up to date on the world of medicine by reading stuff on the internet every day. Calling my parents every few days to let them know I'm okay (it's tough to live somewhere else because of your job location).

Gym, work, research, video games, and just hanging out with friends and family 🙂
