Hello everyone! Does anyone know what time I can expect breaks during my afternoon session exam in Chicago? The step 2 cs manual says 10 min break after the 3rd encounter, 30 min after the 6th, and 10 min after the 9th....but it would be really helpful to me to know the actual time partly 2/2 medical reasons (eg first break around 5:30 pm? meal break around 7 pm? etc), especially given that it doesn't say anywhere how long the orientation will be before the exam starts. In addition, the USMLE bulletin says that while all the centers will do a 30 min meal break, the timing of the other breaks depends on the testing center. Does anyone know approximate actual times that breaks happen in the Chicago center? I've looked on their website and they don't have a ph# for examinees. Sorry for the extremely detailed question-- I would appreciate any help! 🙂

I took the afternoon session in Atlanta yesterday. The breaks occur about every 80 min once you get started (25min x 3 cases with a little time between each to reset). We were done at like 10:05. I can't remember the exact times, but it was something along the lines of:
2:45-3:55: Check-in/Waiting/Orientation
3:55: Test Start
5:15-5:25: Break 1 (10min)
6:45-7:15: Break 2 (30min) w/ "Lunch" (I don't know why they refuse to call it dinner)
8:35-8:45: Break 3 (10min)
10:05: End
Again these are estimates, but I think they are within 15-30 minutes of the actual times.
