I know that First Aid for Step II CS covers a wide range of cases from the 40 cases in the book...is this sufficient preparation for the exam? Not sure if I should use any other resources such as USMLE World CS to get exposure to more cases.

First Aid is sufficient. The key is to practice a couple cases with a friend and write a couple notes during the allotted time. Also, don't forget the soft stuff like counseling on smoking cessation. I waited until the end of the encounter to do this and ended up forgetting on a few occasions. Good luck.

Second ted. You probably dont need ANY studying at all to pass this. That's risky.

You need only 2-3 days with First Aid CS (assuming you speak English and have done your cores at a US hospital). Going through them by yourself is enough. its better with a partner. I crushed First Aid CS in the car drive to houston and in the hotel the night before. Everything I did was far to the right of the grey bar, most things starred. I mean I literally raped that exam and I studied for 7 hours. Total.
