If you hear the announcement " This encounter is now over"

Can you tell the SP "I am sorry I have to attend an emergency." and then exit the room, or are you not allowed to say anything after that announcement.

My question is whether we are allowed to say any words after the announcement or must be leave the room immediately

Someone had advised me not to do that because it 'could' imply something else is more important than the SP. But then, you are NOT GRADED for anything you say after that announcement. I think its best to leave with a good charm. I'd rather say " Mr. X, It was great meeting you. The nurse will be here shortly."

Just smile, say "Thank you," and leave. NOTHING after the bell is graded. And if you haven't already established that you're a caring and considerate doctor in the 15 minutes, no bit of rushed play-acting will help anything.
