During Step 2 CS encounters, are you supposed to perform a review of systems after the history of present illness?

What do you mean pertinent? The whole point of a review of systems is to go through all the systems, especially the ones not pertinent to the HOPI to find other symptoms the patient didn't bring up. 😕

i just took it

its impossible to do a complete anything...cant do complete physical/ros/social/hpi/whatever. i ran out of time on i think 4/12 stations. There is no way in hell that any good doctor can do a history/physical on a stroke workup in 15 minutes, bs. there were other things like this.

you have to try and commit the checklists to memory, because there are a lot of questions you may think are important that arent on their checklist, and a lot of idiotic questions on their checklist that you wont ask. every time i hear alcohol...do cage questions....blow me. all of the patients were drunks. all of them had a sob story....and half of them had abnormal lung sounds with no lung complaints.

it was very frustrating.

I see what you are saying, but they don't expect you to go through every system to see if you can find something they didn't bring up. All I did for ROS was the same set of questions for every patient - fever, weight loss, fatigue, n/v, diarrhea, constipation, etc... - real general things. All of this in addition to HPI and you should have covered just about everything they expect you to cover. Then at the end of my HPI, I would skip a line and write "ROS: Patient denies x,x,x,x,x. Admits to x,x."
You might be fine without it, but we were told at our school to make sure to cover it. Good luck! 😀
