Step II CS and match

I have heard mixed things. Our dean's office says we can take CS anytime this spring. I've read online people saying programs wont rank us without a CS score.

For AMG, do we need CS scores to be ranked?

For AMG, do we need CS scores to be ranked?

I believe we do not need CS to be ranked, although most programs require CK. I got this info from program websites and Freida. Not sure if this varies from specialty to specialty (I'm applying to FM).

It's a non-issue for me though. I go to a large state school and we're all required to have both CK and CS done by mid-january.
