Should have gone DO route

Are you ****ing serious dude? Leave. You haven't even started med school yet (assuming your status is up to date), you're hardly in a position to be dumping on people for their Step scores.

Yeah, DO probably would have been a wiser choice to match back to the states, but you don't know OP's situation and kicking somebody when they're down is both petty and very unhelpful.

Why so serious? This is the internet. Anyone can say aything they want regardless of their qualifications. hope you have a good day

Doesn't mean you have to be a douche to others. In real life you can go spread rumors about others, but it doesn't mean you should. Same idea here.
I am just pointing out the obvious. But I am done posting here since I do want this to be a back and forth battle. And OP you should probably look in Valuemd for advice.

let me say this: what you said was incredibly stupid. Took their step 1, clearly cant go DO route now, and youre saying to go somehow back into the past and tried for DO? lol...losers like you are what make me thank the man upstairs i dont have a mentality like yours. Hindsight is always 20/20 *******.

OP, there is nothing you can do to change your step 1. At least you passed (assuming it's your first try?) and just focus on knocking that step 2 out of the park.

OP i'd say kill the STEP2, ignore anyone who even TRIES to put you down. There's a lot more to add on your CV, step 2, 3, LORs, etc. As one resident i knew said "if you really want to get match, you will. It's how bad you want it is what separates the men from the boys."

Should have gone DO route
There's a very good chance OP isn't even a US citizen. The DO route isn't some universally applicable thing, it's for a fairly select group of US citizen applicants.

As to the op, good luck. I'd give valuemd a shot, as they've got a larger community of IMGs that have been through this process than SDN.
