step1 First Aid - are old versions OK?

I used the 2003 edition. I feel like it served me well, although we'll see after I take the beast tomorrow. I also bought HY molecular biology and histology and used BRS path to supplement it. I don't know what any big differences between the editions are.

I too used the 2003 edition for my 2004 exam date and I did just fine. 😉

P.S. The difference in a 2002 and 2005 FA is a matter of debate.

I used the 2004 international edition for the 2005 exam. Got it on amazon.

There were some changes made from the 2003 editions to the 2004 editions (including figures etc.). From 2004 to 2005 there were very few changes made. Thus I would try to use 2004 or 2005 if you can (pretty much the same).

Here is some more info about this: (also look at where it says previous edition adequate - yes)

Good Luck,

There are always changes made from edition to edition, thats how they sell the book. Most likely you dont need the info presented in those changes. This issue really depends on how anal you are. If you cant bear the thought that you might not have a piece of info that someone else does you really should get the newest version. If however you are more relaxed and believe you can do well without every single bit of info you will be fine with any edition that is somewhat recent (last two years).
