Hey guys!

I have a Skype interview coming up with Stony Brook University for their OT program. I was wondering if anyone had any pointers or tips? I'm very nervous, so any advice would be helpful!

Thanks!!

Talk about your OT experiences! And don't be afraid to ask them to repeat or break down the questions. Some can be multi part or super long.

Will do! thank you for your response. Did you have an interview there? If so, would you be able to tell me what type of questions I should expect? or example interview questions?

I interviewed in December. The questions aren't your typical interview questions, they make you think but also leave plenty for you to answer with your experiences. I can't really remember the questions super well but I know one of the four asked about a time when I disagreed with someone but then eventually came to see their side (or something like that).

Good luck on your interview. I have an interview this Friday and I'm a bit intimidated.

I got the call this morning that I've been accepted into the program at the Southampton campus!! They said that the deans office will take 2-3 weeks to get the acceptance email together and sent out (bizarre) but she wanted to let me know that they've made the decision to admit me into the program.

I interviewed in January, don't lose hope!

Ps- does anyone have an tuition/fees information? Every time I check the SBU OT website, the link is broken.

Edit: the packet from the interview has the info, I'll check it when I get home.

I think Dr Rodriguez told me it's fourteen days from the call. It's been a week and I haven't received the letter yet

Are you sure? I emailed Sarah and she said I should wait until I receive the email from the Dean. There will be more information in that email.

yeah i hope it isn't from the call, cause its been a week and i haven't gotten any mail
Yeah she said from the email. There wasn't enough info given on the phone call for us to send a decision.
Also, I've been trying to find the schedule bc I need to plan my child care. Does anyone have any info on this? And on Solar?

If I remember correctly, the current students told us at the interview that classes are held Monday-Thursday. Not sure about time of day though. Also, what is solar?

Yeah I thought they said that too but wasn't sure. Solar is their online mgmt system. You can register for classes and such. I just found out it actually lets you browse courses as a guest so I'm going it have a look

Hi! I was recently invited for an OT interview that will be held this Friday, Dec 1! I am nervous and excited! Does anyone have any tips for the interview or remember any questions that they were asked? Any advice is appreciated 🙂
