Stoopid typo on secondary ...

Hello fellow snd'ers,

I have just found a real doozy of a typo on my submited WashU secondary and I feel like a complete idiot.

full-time .... (and then about three lines later) ... fulltime.

Cr*p !

I was sure I checked this thing like a million times and now are they going to think: she's obviously a complete stupido.

I suppose I'm not too confident about them anyway, now that they're supposed to be the Harvard of St Louis, but still, I thought I had really tried my best and now I feel all bent out of shape.

I searched other threads about this and the committee is out on don't worry vs. you messed up.

Any more people finding these dumb mistakes on these incredibly important documents? I have so many that I am finding it hard to find other people to keep reading them over ...

Oh please.....I think you need to relax....that is not a big error. It's not like you misspelled the school's name....🙄

I made mistakes that were much much worse, and I'm doing fine so far.

I agree. Paws, it is not a big deal.....little things like that will not keep you from getting accepted. Little mistakes happen to everyone....no one is perfect......relax and move on to the next secondary application! Good luck!🙂

I made an error on my TMDSAS application in my personal statement. I don't think it hurt b/c I got interviews at all the schools. I think it only looks bad when that is all you have. (A bunch of errors) In addition, this new internet application is really new to the schools. I think it is going to take a while before they get English professors in to really be anal about everything. I am not saying English professors are anal either. I personally have a great one this semester, but I was just trying to make a point!

I just thought it looked really stupid when I read it over today 🙄 I finally did turn off the computer, put my applications away and went out and had some fun.

Yea, I thought of you doctorkevin and your thread and then I realized you were also being snowed under with interviews so it just goes to prove that I need to go out and play ALOT more than I am ...

i went back and looked at my secondaries and realized i made a typo.

i meant to say: "i believe medicine is important to all and health should be valued by all"

instead it came out: "i want to make gobs and gobs of money"

will they notice????? stupid microsoft word auto-correct...

I decided to spell committee 3 different ways on my amcas application. hows that one, oops. (thank god I at least got it right one of the 3 times)
