Strange email

So I got this email from Columbia this morning. It's different than the other one that people have been posting about. I had an interview, and my aadsas status has not changed from "invited for interview". Below is the email. Im hoping someone can clarify?


"We would like to formally thank you for coming to interview at the College of Dental Medicine, at this time your application is still under review. The committee has not yet made a final decision on your application.

We thank you for your continued patience and hope to provide another update very soon."

What is there to clarify? You are under review. They have not made a decision on your application.

My confusion is due to the assumption that pre Dec interviews would have decisions made by the 3rd..

I got this same email for a different school that I interviewed with. I think it just means they haven't decided one way or another yet. Maybe waiting to hear if others are going to accept their offers. Good luck!

Every school I interviewed at said Dec. 3 was the "earliest possible notification date", but they all said you may not be accepted until later in the process.

Maybe in January you will hear more! Better than a rejection!
