I have taken 2 AAMC FL but I am struggling with BS section. Feels like I cant apply anything I learn from the passages. I seem to get all of the organic questions correct but when it comes to the biology part I am lost. I went through EK but it didnt help much for me. I also have TBR biology but only use that for my passages. My TBR bio passages is around 70-75% average. I took AAMC 3 got 11 then AAMC 4 and got a 5.
Any suggestion would help. My test is in one month.

Seems like you and I are in the same boat. Analyze your mistakes as much as possible. Milk those AAMC's for information. I have found that my mistakes can be attributed by a failure to read the passage closely and use logic. Seriously. My logical skills on BS are total BS (pun intended). Ask yourself why you picked the incorrect answer. Then slowly start to deconstruct your faulty logic.

BS is my lowest section btw. Got like a 7 on AAMC3. Granted my content review is not complete yet so time will tell.
I tried doing that with AAMC 3 which was silly mistakes but when I took AAMC 4, I just couldn't apply it anything.. My PS is around 12s and vr 1os but BS is over the place. I feel discourage because I focused so hard on the test but end up with a bad score. The sad thing is that I got a 11 without content review for biology then took it again a year later and got the same score :/

I literally feel like I'm speaking to my brain. I have the EXACT problem as you. I'm just doing very heavy post game analysis on these passages and I am starting to feel my weaknesses. A good friend told me that BS is not so much memorization as it is logic. Figure out reasons for WHY your answer choice cannot be correct and use POE.

AAMC 4's BS was silly mistakes for me. In all sections. Still got content review tho

That is kinda how BS is now. I took my MCAT on July 2nd and I could answer a ton of questions without even reading the passages.

PS, though... phew.

For some reason I feel that the TBR passages were easier. I didn't struggle as much logically. I feel like if I take the MCAT and the BS is killer then I would be screwed.

Oh. I found AAMC's easier than TBR. I find everything easier than TBR. Damn you TBR.
Mine was very conceptual and contortion-y and mean. 🙁 Much harder than AAMC 3-10 IMO. I never took 11 so I can't compare there.
Great....time to do EK1001's to solidify concepts..lol

I can't really guarantee that yours will be the same, but from what I've read about in most of the threads with recent MCATs is that the physics is pretty challenging. My day, for instance, almost everyone unanimously agrees that PS was ridiculous. There were a few posters here and there that said it was okay, but not ONE said it was easy. xD The BS, however, almost all of us thought was really straightforward and easy.

I guess my advice is this: know everything. In every subject. xD

Ok so 15V & 15BS to make up for 8 PS. 2 months left, seems attainable

I don't know, verbal kind of seems to be a luck-of-the-draw type thing.

1. Do you enjoy the topics in your passages?
2. Are you sitting in spot #1 by the door that people are constantly walking out of? (like I was. 🙁
3. Are the other testers being loud?
4. Did... you sleep much, if at all?
5. Forget earplugs? -2 points instantly!

etc. 😛
