Hello,

Right now I take notes in class on my laptop and then go home and create condensed versions of my notes from that days materials. My question is: is it better to hand write or type these condensed notes? Im about to head into my second block and so far I have been doing both for each of my classes and its annoying to have some study notes that are typed and others that are hand written. Making these condensed notes has been amazing for me, as I can review them faster on the weekends and later on before tests.

I'm wondering what people think, so please lemme know below! 🙂

It probably doesn't matter. Pick one method and stick with it. I'd recommend typed notes over written, because of paper and just to avoid carrying around ever expanding stasis of notes. That said, making graphs and charts is harder on a computer.

Writing notes is always more effective for long-term retention. Type in class to keep up, but I would be hand-writing condensed versions. Just my opinion though

Would you guys agree that writing with apple pencil on a ipad would be similar? Atleast with electronic notes it stays organized. Youll realize that rewriting notes becomes hard when the volume increases.
