Do you try to study for Step 1 during the Spring of your 2nd year, or do you study in the summer?

Step one for me is scheduled in june. I studied a bit over spring break, and our last exams are next week. Then i've got a month of NBME exams to study for (path, pharm, micro/immuno, medicine) which is good review of 2nd year for step. And then i'll have roughly 6 weeks to focus on studying stuff from first year. People do it differently though. i know some people taking it as early as the 2nd week of may.

gonna study it on the day of the exam, using question stems of earlier question to jolt my memories of later questions.

Our second years have until the end of this week (I think) to take it, and most of my friends already have. The ones I've talked to about their studying say they've basically been studying since winter break. I guess it's not that difficult to combine class and boards studying when you don't go to class.

We'll be taking it in January, so we'll be studying all fall for it.

I was actually able to combine boards study and class studying pretty well for Step 1, so right now I feel a lot more comfortable than I would have otherwise. Of course how I'm doing right now isn't good enough yet lol, but I have five weeks to get it up.
