Hi all,

A friend of mine asked me to post on here for her. She is looking to form a study group in central Arkansas area for the Pathology CP Exam. She is AP-certified and will be taking the CP exam in May. Please let me know if you are interested.

Good luck with your studies!

Just curious, but why can't your friend create an account and post? Is this why she needs help studying and presumably failed the CP boards? And if it's for you, just say it's for you!

That is an incredibly rude response. Your ridiculous presumption is wrong: she never took it to fail it. And if it was for me, I would say it was for me. This is an anonymous message board, doesn't make sense to lie does it. I don't even get your point and why you would spend the time to write a reply that is uncalled for and completely pointless. I would expect more maturity out of a 2+year member who is an attending, as well.

I really hope you do not treat your patients with this manner and behavior, not to mention making random presumptions. This is EXACTLY the kind of attitude that gives doctors everywhere a bad reputation.

Finally, it's absolutely none of your business who makes the post and why. If you have nothing that can be of help, then please don't bother with posting on the thread. If for any reason, you did not mean to come off as ill-mannered, then please mind the way that you write your posts and how you present yourself to others on the boards.

Thanks.

OK, you lose. Making the "You must be a bad doctor because you insulted someone on the internet" argument. Sensitive much?

Personally I would not try to form a study group off of the internet. Especially via someone else. If she wants to find study partners she should do it herself - what does it have to do with you?

Besides, this is basically an advertising post. They don't usually allow advertising posts on the forums so I am not sure why this post is even here.

I have to agree with lipomas that it would be better for your friend to find some local Pathology program and see if the residents there would be interested in a study group. Most people I know, including myself, studied predominately alone for this exam. Make sure she uses the Mais Clinical Compendium and Koneman Microbioplogy plates from the back of the book. I found them helpful at least and passed my AP&CP boards the first time

Thanks!! Did you find the Osler CP course helpful?

I would also be interested in studying for CP online, as I am in colorado.

I personally didn't use Osler all that much and did not attend an actual review course, but I know many who did. Depends on your style of learning I think. If you like lecture format and have the time then the Osler review might be your thing. I would fall asleep honestly with this though.

By the way, more power to you guys if you get a study group organized on here. Pretty cool actually. Good luck!
