You know, for some reason I'm studying less than I did as an undergrad yet I'm learning a lot more in medical school. Did my brain suddenly develop or something, or is medical school learning a lot different than my years as a bio major? Or could it be that undergrad actually provided a really solid base to build upon thus enabling me to be lazy?

Yeah, I was a lot less busy in the first two years than I was in undegrad. Not having essays helps. Having material that is at least partially clinically relevant helps more.

If you're interested in what you're learning, this will motivate you and allow you to learn more quickly.

This is a positive sign...

I back this up 100% 👍

i go with this too. my retention of material has gone way way up. i think it's the fast pace and the relevance of the material that does it. in my undergrad i would have to go over stuff again and again, but now i pick up most stuff the first time through...

Yeah, gotta agree with you guys here.
It's a little strange, because there is some brain-lag going on. I don't expect to remember things after seeing them so fast, but actually do. I have heard that more the more rapidly you get lecture material, the better you pay attention.
Did you whomp those tests today bk? You were outta there wicked early. 😉
