Hey guys, I'm applying to dental School for this cycle however my gpa sucks.
I have a 3.01 Cgpa and a 2.75 BCP.

I've been putting in 12 hour days for almost two months now. Studying Kaplan, Destroyer, Shaums, Topscore, Acheiver, & Cambells.
Top score:
Bio 18 23
GC 13 19
OC 15 28
PAT 15 21
RC 21 22
QR 15 17

I won't be taking my DAT until july 25..i may push it back more. However I know even with an awesome DAT score with my low GPA i still may not get accepted. Should i goto Barry? 21k for a year...

what the heck did you do between test 1 and 2...you jumped up many points!!!!!!!!!!!!!??

Also, a topscore grade *usually* moves up 1-2 points, as seen by this forum

Don't know about Barry, but if you post those scores, your gpa will be overlooked

I havent started studying for the math..thats why thats still low for now.

The bio..i have read everything in kaplan and then i started reading cambells for everything I didnt understand. However, when i started doing destroyer it showed my subjects that i'm really weak on, so i started reading more into those subjects.

The OC...I used to be really good so i needed a refreshener. If you do everyting in destroyer, i don't even think you need to look at kaplan. For the stuff i didn't understand in OC i used Wade for references. Memorized all the roadmaps in destroyer plus i looked online, did a google for other roadmaps and such. There's plenty of good roadmaps.

don't waste your money on barry, go to FAU for their biomedical sciences MS for a fraction of the cost. i believe they even offer tuition reimbursement if you TA...

jb!🙂

I've met many successful dental students who graduated from Barry. Very effective programs, but you must do well for it to be effective. For sub 3.0 candidates, you must over look the sacrafices (pay lots of $) to make yourself a competitive applicant. It sucks but if you did well @ Barry, then it will all be worth it. Good luck & keep us posted on your progress.
