Submit my application for verification even w/ bad MCAT feeling?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I took the MCAT last week - I do not feel like I did well and am ready to prepare for a retake. Every aspect of my AMCAS is filled, including the list of all the schools I want to apply to.

Should I still submit my application now (to all schools) even though there's a 50% chance I'll need to retake?

Also is it possible to apply only to one school now (for the sake of verification) then add schools if I get a "passing" score, or is the application completely "locked" once submitted?

Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can have only one school listed for verification purposes and then add more after receiving your MCAT score.

plenty of people feel about about their score and find out that they did fine. there's no harm in being prepared but you don't need to expect the worst before your scores arrive.

you'll be disclosing your score anyway... idk if thats your issue or if you are worried about screening, being incomplete, etc

thanks, gettheleadout.

Will the application fee be the same too? i.e., will I just have to pay for the additional schools once readded to the app? (I've noticed that it's ~$160 or so when one school is added and an additional ~$34 per additional school).

kpcrew2oo2, I know but I feel I'm pretty accurate regarding score "feelings". I've been fairly spot on during practice exams.

tenndoc -- I'd say my issue would be screening. For example, being screen out early based on my initial MCAT score whereas if my retake was up I wouldn't be automatically screened.
Since you can add more schools at really any point throughout the first several months during the cycle, it should just be the fee per additional school added after you've had one added for verification.

Also, if you mark on AMCAS that you're retaking, schools won't look at your primary until they receive the new score. I'm not totally sure if that would be any different (as far as what you would designate on AMCAS) if you've already retaken and are waiting for the score, but I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem.

you wont get looked at until you have completed your 2nd mcat. if its early and you are submitted by august, good. if its late and in september, too late. thats what hurt me so bad
