Submitting Writing Sample to SDSU/UCSD JDP?

Is this expected? Will it help my application? I've done this for all of the other programs I applied to and it just occurred to me that there was nowhere on the application for me to upload a writing statement. Does anyone know if I should just send it in via mail or not submit it since it does not mention a writing sample anywhere on the website? I will FedEx - regardless of the cost.

If the application doesn't ask for it, I wouldn't send it.
