Suggestions for Living around Touro, Mare Island

Hi, Im going to Touro university this coming fall and I noticed that the area around Touro, ie Vallejo, has a lot of crime. what would be the safest area to live in that is within 30 mins of the campus. Someone has suggested walnut creek to me but i was wondering if any other students had any suggestions. Thanks!!!

I just pm'd you about housing around Touro, but a great town to live in is Benicia, which is about 20 minutes away. There is a low crime rate there and the town has a great small town feel. There are also some nicer parts of Vallejo that people live in, but it's a good idea to check them out thoroughly.

The Pointe Apartments in Fairfield are really nice. They are located in a really good area of Fairfield. It takes my husband about 25 minutes going about 70mph 🙂 Vacaville also has some nice apartments.
