Suggestions on USN living area/housing

Can the current students or anyone living in the Henderson area suggest any decent, friendly, and safe (etc.) apartments to live in? (or areas in general, street-wise so I can get an idea from a map) I heard there are some unsafe areas but am unfamiliar with which areas these are. If I could get any suggestions and input, it would be greatly appreciated.
