A little background, my school is traditional curriculum, we've had biochem, anatomy, histology, embryo, neuroanatomy, physio.

I was flipping through the 2010 first aid for the first time and realized I don't remember anything, probably because I crammed for every test. So I figured at the very least, I should review some biochem and physio, and maybe anatomy, neuro, and embryo.

So stuff I already have, but never really used:
First aid 2010, brs phys (used a little at first), BRS phys cases, HY gross, HY neuroanatomy. And a couple of texts, costanzo phys and lippincott biochem.

Realistically I know I'll only do like ~2 hrs a day of studying, maybe even 1. And the only books I'll probably read is first aid's sections on stuff I've learned.

Would you guys recommend getting gunner training, or USLMERx? I get bored easily with just reading stuff so some questions would help me retain info and stay interested.

I'd probably need around a 240 step 1, looking to do EM or gas at this point, but I'd like to go to large academic center for residency/attending so that's why I want an above avg step 1.

Start reading robbins pathologic basis of disease...not the baby robbins pathology

trollface...

Not looking to do any path or pharm. Just looking to review stuff from M1. A little very basic immuno wouldn't hurt I guess since I still have a very thin textbook from undergrad.

Reviewing MS1 stuff is low yield. Reading the first few chapters of Robbins is high yield.

Um. So all of microbiology is low yield? All of neuro is low yield? Immuno?

Don't agree/10

That being said- I agree with reading medium robbins IF YOU REALLY WANT TO STUDY. Probably won't help you a ton, but if you are so set on studying for 2nd year that's def a good way to go...

My point really was that the guy saying read Robbins wasn't trolling. (and probably the best use of his time if he is set on studying) Anyway only one of the things you said is even in this guy's first year curriculum. (neurology)

edit: Also I'm not trying to say that stuff from first year shouldn't be reviewed for step one. I mean to say that reviewing the stuff from his first year would be low yield right now.
