summer after ms1?

hi,

with the weather now getting cold, i've been thinking about what i intend to do this next summer... i have my emt license which is a great job and brings in decent money.

then again, there's research, which i avoided like the plague in undergrad, but i think i could enjoy now.

for what it's worth, i'm thinking that i might want to wind up in emergency medicine (though 3rd year may change some perspectives).

whatever you choose....just make sure it allows you to enjoy some of the summer. as for my suggestion...i was a medic for a few years before i started school also, so i choose research...something i had never done. i did it in toxicology and really enjoyed it. it was clinical research, not benchwork, so i was in the ED alot. if you can find some clinical research that you think you would ENJOY, that is what i recommend....it will be good experince, and will strengthen your application no matter what field you choose.....good luck
