Summer class at another university; how list on AMCAS?

I'm going to be retaking Organic chemistry this summer since I received a bad grade in it at my university here. I'll be retaking it at my (crappier) state school. I'm not really interested in transferring credits as much as letting adcoms see i had the initiative to retake it and do well.

Anyway, the course ends June 27--and hopefully I'll get my grades soon after that--so that I won't be THAT late in the admissions cycle. But how do I get these grades from this school to the medical schools? I couldn't find a place on the AMCAS which asks about receiving transcripts form other universities besides the primary one.

Does someone know how I could do this?

i took a summer school class last july-august and had submitted my AMCAS in june. you indicate that you will be taking the class on AMCAS, but once you get the transcript for that class, you have to send that to each school individually, not to AMCAS.

if you have already taken courses at more than one university, you have to have all of those transcripts sent to AMCAS before submitting it.

Nevermind. I found out how to do it--I will add another school in the schools attended section.

However, I shold say "transcript required"? If I select yes, I cannot submit the AMCAS until I get my grade after June, right?

So I assume you selected "no", and then just separately mailed the transcript? This sounds like the better option, right, so then I wouldln't have to wait ANOTHER month while AMCAS waits to verify the transcript..

hmm i think i put transcript is required but they'll see that the class hasn't ended yet so i can't send it to them yet. if you're uncertain, you should call AAMC...they actually answer the phone and are nice!

Great advice. I just called them and they did pick up fast and were friendly.

I am going to say no transcript required so that AMCAS can start processing my application early on. Then, I will send in the transcript with grades later individually to the schools. Thanks guys.
