I was just wondering what the general consensus is on summer courses? Do review boards actually look down upon these courses, or are they just viewed normally? The current myth that I have heard is, unless you are expecting to receive an A in a particular summer course, its not even worth taking. By the way, the references I am making here are to major subjects such as chemistry, biology, physics, etc. etc. and not elective courses. Thanks for the input!

I believe that it does not really matter whether you take it during summer or fall. What matters is how you do in class.

I agree with bgreet. However, unless you are confident you'll do as well in the summer session as you would in the regular semester, you might not want to risk the hit to your GPA.
