jsut to take ur minds off the stress with apps...what songs are u blastin' this summer? Going to any concerts?

I am on a Keane kick right now.

"I'll be just fine...
pretending I'm not...
I'm far from lonely
and it's all that I've got..."

that's my song of the moment anyways...perhaps just because it's on. one of my favorite bands though for sure

Keane (Pop-esque): Recommend: Bend and Break
Snow Patrol (Pop-esque, similar to Travis): Recommend: Ways and Means
Acceptance (Pop-Punk): Recommend: So Contagious
The Arcade Fire (Indie): Recommend: Wake Up
The Honorary Title (Indie): Recommend: Everything I Once Had
The Books (Electronic-Indie): Recommend: Whole Album of "The Lemon of Pink"
Fiery Furnaces (Indie - not for the aurally weak!) Recommend: Blueberry Boat
Ratatat (Electronic-Indie) Recommend: El Pico

:horns:

some good tastes(the indie ones) 👍

i listen to a lot of music but there hasn't been much in particular i've been listening to lately..maybe mirah. i have seen get up kids, alkaline trio, and msi this summer so far. i really want to see the cure in switzerland or somewhere in europe in august since they are like my favorite band(up there with elliott smith and bjork for me) 🙂

*giggles* I tend to have good taste tempered by CRAP. Yes, I like New Found Glory (at least, pre-"Sticks and Stones") but I also like Mogwai and Pink Floyd and Broken Social Scene and such! I just. . . have a . . . strange fascination with bouncing around like a crazy person to pop-punk.

Does anyone else miss skanking? I miss skanking. 🙁

I am Jammin a new soon to be released CD from my brothers boston based band "Rev Bob & the Darkness" my brother being the "darkness." Check it out at www.gosaveyourself.com
I am also listening to the new collaberation (sp) of Linkin' Park and Jay-Z...it rocks

Music filled with angst and stories of misfits is for idiots. That's all I have to say about that.

Went to Summerfest (world's largest music festival, kids), saw Alter Bridge (sucked), the Donnas (hot), Isaac Hayes (I looked a little out of place....), Chevelle (rocked). Hoping to see Disturbed later this summer.

I'm so damn jealous of you. I really wanted to see him at the Crossroads festival in Dallas with Eric Clapton, BB King, and some other blues. I love Robert Randolph...i could really listen to his music all day long.

turkish music, actually.

how random is that?? but it's great!

Common and Kanye west for the most part(i'm from chicity), Marley and old school reggae and various r&b and hiphop. Sorry, no punk rock or indie here.

Earlier, I was jamming in my car to Holla Back Girl. I think the guy in front of me caught me dancing. 😀

Well, not to make you any more jealous but the same night I saw Robert Randolph, I also saw B.B. King (at Riverfest). Needless to say, it was amazing. 🙂

I was channel surfing and came up on this....i laughed so damn hard watching these "music videos" (if they can even be called that). i dont know what it is about R. Kelly, but i think after playing with 14 year olds, any celebrity has automatically lost cool/status points in my book. Besides...what has R. Kelly really done in the past 6 years??

You guys make me mad....oh well, i'm really thinking about going to ACL, but i highly doubt that i will be able to make it....damn.

We were out on a date in my daddy’s car. we hadn’t driven very far. there in

I couldn’t stop, so I swerved to the right. I’ll never forget the sound that

Oh where, oh where, can my baby be? the lord took her away from me. she’s gone

When I woke up the rain was pourin down. there were people standin all around.
Something warm flowing through my eyes. but somehow I found my baby that night.
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said. hold me darling, just a little

Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, The Shins, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and a lot of pakistani music.

(To the Pakistanis and Indians, what are some good Indian/Pakistani artists?)

I can't believe only 2 people on here listen to hip hop/r&b/reggae/rap. Right now though I can't get enough JOHN LEGEND.

I like John Legend too. 👍

I'm EXTREMELY annoyed with the stupid R. Kelly video saga. It is so ridiculous. Is he ever going to come out with a song that is not about cheating/sex? Yuck.

Ska!!??? Ah, the ultimate embarassment of my youth. Luckily, I gave it up in the mid nineties like everyone else. I can't get into this whole indie scene shiz, I just don't feel like crying and being all emotional all the time. I have been disenfrancised by the punk scene...

*sigh* The nineties were AWESOME. Come on, on the one hand you had RBF and skanking and on the other, when you were feeling more depressed/druggy you could always crank up the Nirvana.

I swear I was born a decade too late.

At least now you can turn on Conor Oberst and cry. . . or crank up our friend Ben Gibbard and cry some more. . . or try some Static Lullaby and SCREAM while you cry.

BAAAAHAHAHAHA! Enough said right there. That song is ONLY acceptable in a gay bar in West Hollywood when at leats 80% of the attendees are drunk.
