Because, other schools have sent me rejection and hold notifications already, I was wondering if Upstate would do the same thing if placed in one of those catagories.

upstate told us that we wouldn't hear anything until 10/15...if accepted we would get a phone call... if waitlisted or rejected we would get a letter that week! good luck!!!

Hello fellow SUNY Upstate waiters,
I interviewed after you guys and my status page dosen't say decision made yet. I remember when I was there they said we would hear in two-three weeks and they went to committee on wednesdays. I am crossing my fingers for a good result. I don't know about you guys but I really liked the "feel" at the school. Do you guys think they will call or send a letter?

Best of my knowledge, phone calls are acceptance, snail mail for everything else. And yeah, thought school came across really well. Spent half the day before my interview talking with students there, and not a single bad word about the school or student body. Good luck to all!

i interviewed there the 24th, and forgot to give htem a photo of myself... and they emailed me back saying i didn't need to, but also that i have not yet gone to committee yet, so no decision has been made.

They review every Wednesday, so probably you came up October 3rd.

No, none at all; neither from the student or the professor. Both were very laid back and converswational, as you may have read elsewhere by now. No challenging moral questions or anything like that, though the student, not the prof., did ask the why you wanna be a doc question, and of course, do you have nay questions for me was asked by bot hinterviewers, but by and large it did not proceed Q & A in format.

Got the call!🙂🙂. According to last year's threads, "Decision Made" means nothing; it is posted for hold, high priority hold, and acceptance. .

When did you interview?/ As far as I know, Jennifer Welsh is the only one making calls, and I can't see them having called EVERYONE in one day.

Last year, the interenet was not always up to date with the actual file progress. But remember, they do only meet every wednesday. I think you should search "Upstate Decision Made" amnd read last year's thread about the same issue.

i interviewed 24th, and if i would bet, i would bet that i am being reviewed today, because admissions told me i haven't been reviewed as of yet, and you are right, committee meets on wednesdays. good luck!

there is the link, just so i dont have to keep opening the status check thread and going to page three and finding it. mine just says doctor of medicine/professional/md... which i think it has said all along. i've read that some peoples status page changes to denote "decision made" or something.

Congrats to all who were accepted. I interviewed 9/18 and although my status said 'Decision Made' for a couple weeks, I did not get the fateful phone call on Monday, although some of my interview mates did (Congrats to them!). I'm currently waiting for my letter in the mail, and hoping it's the HP-Waitlist. Upstate is my #1 choice, and HP-list still gives me a shot. Congrats again to all who got the call, it really seems like a terrific school!
