hello,

i submitted my AADSAS on june 8th, and i have yet to send in the supplementary apps and app fees. i have filled out all the checks and am waiting for my 2x2 photo to be processed to send to the schools that need it etc. do you guys think its bad that i haven't sent this stuff in yet? esp. when some schools said i should've sent it "AT THE SAME TIME"? my reasoning behind me delaying this is because AADSAS hasn't even sent out my printout yet, so i don't really see the necessity 🙄

but anyway, have you guys turned in EVERYTHING alrdy? i've noticed some people already getting e-mails back from schools with secondary apps and stuff... does your printout have to be mailed alrdy in order for that to happen?

I haven't turned all of my supplementary information into the schools yet. I have to start my supplementary applications for Penn and finish my supplementary application for UNC and get three pictures that the schools requested. I feel that if your AADSAS and your supplemental info get to the schools around the same time then it will all be ok. You run into problems when your AADSAS has been at the schools for a while and they still haven't received the application fees. This delays the reviewing of your application and hurts your chances for admission.

To answer your final question. When schools learn that you are sending them a primary application then they send out a supplementary application. This is pretty typical and you shouldn't be too worried that you haven't received any emails about supplementary stuff. I submitted my AADSAS on the 11th of June and my printout hasn't been mailed to schools and I haven't gotten any emails in return. Don't worry about it though because it still really early in the cycle and the fact that you have your AADSAS in six months before the deadlines for most schools means that you'll have plenty of time to submit all of the necessary material.

I have a question about the pictures. Are you getting a professional photographer to take your picture or are you just taking a digital shot of yourself?

i have a friend who does photos for frats and organizations, so i'm gonna have him take mine. it's just about professional because he has all the equipment a professional has. most schools want a photo in front of a light background too just fyi 🙂 i'm thinking you can prob just get one done at kinkos or something... just like you would with your passport

Oh alright, I don't know where I can find a kinko's but I'll try and find a AAA because that's where I got my passport photo taken. Why would they want a white background? That seems odd.
