So this is a freaking easy question that I am confused about... the question is how many numbers are between 10 and 90.

When they say "between," is this including the numbers 10 and 90 (so it accounts for 2 of the numbers), or excluding them, so i would count starting from 11 and end at 89?? So I assume number is either 79 or 81... ? I feel really dumb asking this...thank you in advance for your help.

We always assume that both numbers are inclusive unless stated otherwise.
How many numbers are between x and y? The answer is y-x+1 In your example: 90-10+1=81.
