I'm getting ready to finish up my first (and hopefully only) supplemental application for early decision. One of the questions on the application asks something along the lines of, "If you have less than six months of pharmacy experience, then please explain why."

Right now, I'm sitting with around 3.5 months of volunteer experience in a hospital pharmacy. I've also shadowed several times in a hospital. What do you guys think is the best way to word an answer dealing with this?

With the truth? That's only something that you know.

Was it because you found the position late? Did you decide to switch to pharmacy late? Were you busy with other things besides pharmacy?

Just explain your reasoning and add in that you're still planning to continue with your pharmacy experience and that the time you spent doing whatever else was still productive.
