Ok so right before i was about to confirm my E-Submit for my online application, it is asking me if i have paid any of the supplemental fees that some of the schools are requiring i send at the same time i apply online.

Does this mean i can e-submit my application now, and send in the supplemental fees and what not tomorrow in the mail? Or was that suppose to be done prior to me submitting

so confused...

I have exactly the same question! Please help! I'm hoping to submit my applications soon.

Yes that's just a check list, just submit and send your secondary stuff in tomorrow, or the day after, or whenever.

Will it make you look bad if you submit the secondary a week or two after you submit your aadsas application?

Ok so i can just submit my application and complete those secondary fees when i get the chance?

Or will the school that require the supplemental fee at the same time as AADSAS materials not even look at my app until they receive such payment

just trying to get into that first batch you know lol

Yes, they will not look at your ap until the secondary material is in, thats why you should do it right away, if required.

Let me get this straight. Some schools want all applicants to pay some fee at the same time we submit our AADSAS application. But that doesn't even guarantee a supplemental application to be sent to you!?!? Does this make any sense? So it costs us extra just for the admissions committee to look over our application and decide whether we are good enough for a supplemental app??

No all schools will make you pay a secondary application fee (which is another way of saying supplemental application).

For some reason they all charge a separate additional fee, expect it to be from 50-100 dollars per school.

Is there a list somewhere of who wants what when?

would be too exhausting. it's your responsibility to know exactly what each school you apply to wants.

you're likely posting to this site on a computer...use it to start a file on your schools of interest.

Is there a list somewhere of who wants what when?

So your blindly applying to schools without visiting their websites or requesting information to see what their requirements are? Good plan.

Yeah on the AADSAS portal go to school designations. Then at the top there is a link for supplemental application instructions listed by state.

Well, I do know for the schools I'm interested in, however vague they may be on their websites, I mean have you read what Case's site says...LOL. I was just wondering if their may be a place I could double check at, sorry if it was a wrong question to ask.

This link isn't as accurate as individually checking the school's site. For a few of the schools I applied to, they said they'll contact me with an application on this link, however on the school site, it was up to me to send the required documentation and fee; they never asked me as the AADSAS portal said they would.

Going back to this thread:Assuming it takes about 3-4 weeks for an AADSAS application to be sent to each individual school, would it be OK to send out the supplemental fees to the schools a week or two after sending the app?

Thanks!

Someone on the "timeline" thread stated that two schools have already gotten back with him/her.
If you've applied to the said schools, why not just send in your supplementals ASAP?

Well, I just took my DAT and I am going on vacation at the end of the week. So I needed to make some time to take my 2 x 2 photos and write up those checks! I am fine with sending AADSAS online before my vacation though.

Most schools have an online payment system. You can pay the secondary fees when you submit your AADSAS. Taking a picture, getting a couple of money orders, and getting them all sent out will take you much less than an hour. Just do it and get it over with...

Yea you make a good point.

Looks like its been pretty much answered, but I'll throw in my two cents.

Many schools will look at your primary app and make sure you make the cut for their school before requesting secondary materials such as an application or just the secondary fee.

Others will require you to send in a secondary payment as soon as you submit your aadsas application. Many schools require add stuff such as a 2x2 photo, 3x5 notecards with contact info, add application info etc. NOTE, Sooner you get this all sent away the better since these schools don't consider you until they recieve them. However, once you e-submit it takes a 4-6 weeks for them to complete your app and send it out. So you have some time before you really need to complete all the seconary stuff that these schools require.

It is best to check the schools site and read specifically what they want, the University of Pittsburgh's site says
"A non-refundable processing fee of $50 (check or money-order) for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and a fee of $75 (check or money-order) for international applicants (including Canadian applicants) must be mailed to the University two weeks after the AADSAS application is completed."
So feel a little comfort if your feeling pressed for time cuz without your prim app the schools don't need, (or in this case want) your app. But again, better sooner than later.
