Hey guys,
Im alittle confused about supplements for dental school. I looked on some dental school websites and some schools do not have supplements. What schools have supplements?
Also, would you submit them after they recieved your ADEA application? Or how does it work?

Most of schools, which have the secondary supplemental application, inform you after ADEA application. Some only ask a fee to pay or some want you to write little paragraphs why you want to go to that specific school + fee.

But there are some schools that expect to pay the fee before they even contact you in order to process faster...so... you actually need to research the individual schools that you want to apply to find out for each school's requirement.

Do you pay these fees on AADSAS when you apply?

No I need to arrange separate delivery to each school, usually to its admission office address, for secondary fee and etc. But I believe some schools have online payment option as well.

Please don't get confused with AADSAS fee with these secondary fee though. You will pay AADSAS fee in order to complete the application for dental schools and then each school will contact you for supplements if they want you to.

wait until the aadsas portal opens up. everything is literally spelled out for you.

👍

Yes, the portal will spell it all out for you guys, so don't fret now, but the secondary fees are generally 60-80$ per school. While not every school requires a secondary application, nearly all require a secondary fee.

Most schools will send you a secondary application (e.g. UCs) that you need to fill out if you meet their initial requirements (this is nice, because it'll save you money if they're not interested). However, some schools will expect you to download the secondary form yourself and send it in with check, or simply pay your secondary fee on your own without being asked (Creighton and UOP, respectively). Double-check with each school's site on secondary apps/fees so you can plan accordingly!
