Support group for those still waiting on ii

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've been complete at ~13 schools for 2.5 months now. 1 interview + 1 post-secondary rejection so far.

I'm starting to get nervous as most of the schools have interviews into January fully booked up and half of the acceptances already sent out.

lots of waiting for me as most schools are waiting until my nov 7 MCAT scores come back.

Complete at 12 schools since mid July.

3 post secondary rejections.
4 ii (2 wait lists, 1 acceptance, 1 canceled)

I still haven't heard from 5 schools in 4 months....and I would consider myself a strong applicant; LizzyM 65.

Thank god I got into one of my top 2 schools...so unless I get a call from one I'm really in love with and the interview day goes well, I'm feeling pretty set. Hang in there, you'll get something soon I'm sure!

I applied to 30 schools, completed a little over 20 secondaries. I am complete at most schools for about two weeks except PCOM (waiting on one more letter, I have M.D., D.O., and two science professors but they require 3 science in place of committee letter)

so far
2 ii
1 post secondary rejection

I am hoping I can secure a few more interview invites within the next two weeks.

Does anyone know if ii's are still coming out, I am a bit worried the ii's season is over :-(.

Oh... so that's why my app was not complete. I guess I should contact them.

EDIT: Actually, my third professor counts as other science. Again I should contact them.

I sent them an M.D. letter, D.O. and two science but they still want one more science. So it will be a while before I am complete there🙁

Have any of you received any new ii invites recently?

Nothing here 🙁

Just signed up to take o chem 2 online. Going to try and get it done early and send an update letter to my schools.

I've been rejected at 2 schools (ATSU-KCOM and CCOM). Put on hold at AZCOM. I've been complete since the beginning of September.

I'm getting mentally prepared for reapplying at this point now. Does anyone know what percentage of matriculants get called for interviews in or after January?

Hopefully we all here back from some schools over winter break!
I'm hoping for at least two more interview invites.

I was searching for last cycles acceptance thread to see how many people had interviews January and later, but I wasn't able to find the thread.

They want another science professor LOR from you? Their website directly states that if you don't have a committee letter, you are required to give in 3 faculty letters of recommendation - however, only two of those have to be from science professors. I would call them and double check since it's usually easier to get a non-science faculty letter, and you don't want your application to be delayed!

I hope it's only two, since I have two science LORs, 1 non-science LOR and 1 DO and 1 non-academic. I would be screwed if I had to find another science professor.

A letter of recommendation from your pre-health or academic advisor/committee (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate or graduate programs).
NOTE: This is the preferred letter of recommendation by the DO Faculty Committee on Admissions.
OR
Three faculty letters of recommendation: Two of those three letters must be from SCIENCE professors (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate or graduate program"

I ended up getting another science letter anyway and sent that to them.

Any of you guys getting frustrated by repeat emails from schools? Some schools have sent me 3 emails back to back stating that my application has been received. I received two emails, weeks apart from Touro-NV saying my application is complete and now under review.

Also are any of you planning on contacting schools to see the progress of your application? I'm deciding if I should send my extra science letter to some schools.

Are you talking about PCOM-PA only or does it apply to PCOM-GA as well? I sent only two science letters (and two non-science) and the portal marked my letters as received which apparently means they were accepted, according to the portal info...

I just found out that one of my LOR didn't either sign or write their LOR on official letterhead :-(... I only found this out when I emailed my secondaries to make sure they had everything and I received an email back with a hint - make sure all of your LOR's are signed and/or on letterhead. Of course, I can't access them - so not sure which one - I did contact Interfolio but they said I just had to contact all my letter writers to ask. This is so frustrating.....

Lot of premed students just get screwed over by the general system run by people. If the people running are clumsy or lazy or plain a**holes, then it could be a financial, emotional and social burden on us. such a shame

Most schools accepted my letters, I'm assuming at least. But ACOM did let me know that one of my letters was not signed and requested I get it signed and resubmit it to them. I already took care of that. I'm assuming the other ones are all signed.

This is for both, I believe, because they don't differentiate between campuses on the website.

That sounds awful, I truly hope that my letter writers put it on letter head...

If a school sends me an email stating that my application is complete that means they accept my letters how they are right? Even if one was not signed.

Additionally I've read that some schools don't notify about interview invites via email. They will send it through their online portal. Any one have any idea if this is correct and what schools these are?

Did you call or email Interfolio? I emailed them and they responded in a day with a list of which letters are on a letterhead and which are not
