I'm getting a cholecystectomy in a few days. If I ask to stay conscious during the procedure (no anesthesia), can I count it as shadowing?

Well that's epidural anesthesia... the OP was suggesting no anesthesia. I suppose strong ropes and a bullet to bite would be the order of the day. Like I said, "insanity".
