I am a first year family medicine resident. I was wondering how hard would it be for me to switch into an internal medicine residency. Would it be easier if I switched after second year? Do I get any credit for the rotations I have completed? Has anyone had any experience or know of anyone that has done anything similar? Would I be preferred over other applicants since I have done over a year of residency?
