Ta?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've been a TA for both semesters of orgo. It's much easier to digest the second time around, so yes, it was very helpful. The way the professor taught it, I caught a lot more details than I did when I originally took the class.

I think that student-teaching is a great experience.

I spent 5 seconds looking at the title of the thread wondering what the sound "tah?" meant before I clicked on it.

i found that it was more helpful for my wallet than anything else. i TAed biology, gen chem, and organic chem.

Also, is being a TA the kind of thing that looks good on your app? Or does it not really matter so much

Thanks!

I would suggest trying to TA for a prof you have already had and make nice and hit them up for a LOR. I think the biggest benefit is getting to know a prof and getting a letter.
