Tax rates are available here: http://taxguru.org/incometax/Rates/1040-05.htm So if you're making ~$40K a year, the first $7.3K is taxed at 10%, up to $29.7K at 15.0%, and above that to $71.9K is taxed at 25.0%. Depends on location, # of dependents, etc. Once all my fed and state taxes, and my health and dental insurance options are taken out, I see $2550 of my $3400/mo salary.
