My first interview is Tuesday and for those of you who have already started is it acceptable to take a notepad or something to take notes on during interviews and presentations?

Yes - also generally most programs give you a folder with a lot of papers in it anyway. I found it easier just to write on back of those papers. In that way, I didnt add to the already bulky folder and all program info was in one place, including my notes.
