Taking classes at a CC summer before matriculating?

If I wanted to take some random classes like Intro to Ceramics or Painting this summer at my CC would it matter all if I failed them? I assume they will still show up on my transcript, but my undergrad stuff should be meaningless at this point right? Only reason I ask is because the sessions go on for like 2 months and I probably won't attend every class towards the end, I just want to take them for fun.

Audit the classes if you can (take them without getting a grade or credit). If not, take them Pass/NP if possible, the No passes wont factor into your GPA.
