Hi guys

I'm planning on taking this semester-long class that ends on Jun 17th, which is after the first day of the application. The professor for this class is very good. This class is Microbiology + Lab.

There is another microbio class+lab at another semester school that ends in may, but the review for the teacher is very very bad. Not because the class is hard, but rather the professor doesn't know how to teach.

I'm just curious whether I should take the class that is good and ends after first day of application or class that is bad but ends before first day of application. I'm asking because I want this class's grade to be in my application for consideration of Dec.1 decision.

Thanks

just 1 class?

it will def. be on your transcript for schools to see. just mark it as in progress.

or you last resort will be to just send your updated transcript to every school you applied to.

Im trying to find moreclasses at uci and I'm currently working. I just hope I can get more classes.

But taking a class that ends after start of application isn't bad right?

of course not. I took 2 10-week summer courses and that ended mid july. I submitted my app Jun 7th. I emailed each school asking how they wanted my grades. A few said to just email the scores. Most said transcript. This past academic update (thats going on now) is where I updated the grades and such, I just finished 1 class during the fall and submitted that to the school that interviewed me. In my case, no real need to send transcripts everywhere since im focusing on in state schools. So i just send my newer trans to 2 school.

so it depends. If you need the classes to show improvement or if you know you're going to ACE them, then I would submit the app, and also email the schools saying you're currently in the class. some may want to wait to see how you do before sending an invite, others may not care. so you can use it to your advantage if you do well in the classes.
