DONE! Got lower than I would have liked... but good scores none the less I guess. Nothing to do now but wait... Have a very low GPA, was shooting for 24AA+ in order to be competitive. It was totally doable... just hating myself right now for so many stupid mistakes that cost me big time. Dissapointed...

good luck, I have a feeling you will do great.

make a motivation playlist on your ipod - it works!

best of luck today, I'm up in less than 24h...

Good luck, can't wait to see your breakdown. I've been looking through posts daiting a month back checking people's score to compare myself with.

If you read this before your exam, TIMING TIMING TIMING. That is all lol.

Those scores are great. There should be no reason as to why your upset about a 23 in any section. The GPA may be low, BUT schools see those high numbers and they get intrigued. Did you have a bad start and progressively got better but the overall average is still low or have you been mediocre throughout? Do you go to a really tough school like MIT for engineering? Even if not, the really good scores on the DAT will peak the interests of some schools. Not to mention your best scores are in RC and the sciences, which are really what the schools look at. PAT is important for some schools, but not for most, and QR is essentially overlooked.

Hang in there and hope for interviews... if anything Id feel a person with a 3.0 and 22 has a more interesting story than a person with a 3.9 and a 18. GL

My intuition was right.

I was going to tell you QR was going to be your only problem but there was point since you had no time left to study. Good job.

Great scores, so you used Barron's + text for Bio, KBB, destroyer, achiever and topscore for the rest?
Congrats 😀
I also have OCD, and for us, when it comes to easy stuff, always stick with pen and paper, until I write things down, I will always be paranoid about making mistakes. Actually, i am SOOOOO OCD that even when i write things down, i still don't trust myself.

Yea, I have a very vast science background, and I bascially just read did a quick readthrough of my Barron's AP book I found (same book I used to get my 5 in AP bio 3 years ago haha...). I used wikipedia to look up stuff that I wasn't clear on. I read through the entire KBB chem and ochem multiple Achiever and Topscore were good, even if just to get more questions under your belt.

congratulations.

So you used destroyer? how was it helpful?

Destroyer was pretty easy by the time I got to it. I didn't use it to learn, I used it as a guage to see if I was really prepared. It was actually the reason why I felt I was so prepared going in. It was just good review to get some questions under your belt and test if you actually do know stuff. Just get familiar with as many questions as you can. Ochem in Destroyer is good practice compared to the real thing, Gchem had too many calculations, and I only got 1/3 through Bio (did bio RIGHT before the test) before I ran out of time. If you can go through destroyer and get around 9 out of every 10 questions right, which isn't difficult at all, you have an excellent chance of getting a 30 in the sciences.

This exam is very general. It doesn't test specifics like the NBDE, but tests the overall picture and leaves very little room for error. I was dissapointed I didn't do as well as I would have hoped going in. I'm killing myself right now knowing that one more question right in OChem or GChem would have bumped my score to a 26 or so in those sections 🙁. The DAT will look like a piece of cake once you get to the NBDE :scared: so i hear. What makes the DAT differ from the NBDE is that the NBDE has a lot more questions, and therefore a lot more room for error, which is a good thing. On the other hand, its a LOT more specific, so I guess it balances out.

Are you gonna give us a full break down when you recovered? 🙂

What do you mean when you say "leaves very little room for error", could you elaborate?
