Would it look bad to take Bio1 and Chem1 at one school, transfer, and then take Bio2 and Chem2 at a different school?

Does it matter assuming you get good grades in all of the classes?

It really shouldn't matter. Were both taken at a college/university or community college? Community colleges do sometimes matter depending on the medical school.

The one thing I'd be careful about is whether the Bio/Chem 1 at the first school would be equivalent to the Bio/Chem 1 at the second...sometimes the order in which material is covered or how extensive the class is varies, so it could make the Bio/Chem 2 a little harder.

Transferring to a CC to take classes after you have started taking them at a university (you didn't specify either way) is a major red flag. It can look as though you are trying to maximize your GPA by taking hard classes at easier schools.

If you are taking them at a CC for economic reasons, then you want to do two things. 1. take upper level science courses at a university to demonstrate you can handle the hard science.
2. in your application, in an addendum explain your reason for taking those classes there.

Still risky though.
