So i'm about to graduate next year, with a really really low gpa (lower then 3.0)
I was wondering if i retake the prereq at some other institutions after graduating, and get better scores, how does that work out?
Will they average out my GPA from where i graduate, and where i retake the prereqs?
Also do they judge applicants differently based on what school they graduate from? because I attend University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and i have heard both that since Umich is harder compared to some other school they would judge it differently, but i wasn't too sure.
Also what are some other recommendation for someone that graduates with a very low GPA who is interested in getting into dental school.

It doesn't matter which institution it's from (unless if you're comparing university to community college).
I took a couple of my prereqs at a different university, and it didn't make a difference where I took it. They all count towards your GPA in the same manner.

Most people will recommend that you take a Masters program if you have a really low GPA.

Master is the way to go. However, if you didn't have good study habits to begin with, you most likely won't perform well, unless you matured drastically. If your GPA is sub 3.0, do a 1 year postbac to increase your GPA to 3.0 range AND learn better study habits, and do 1 year of SMP, to prove rigor of dental school.
