Hi,

I'm a non-traditional career-changer who wants to go to dental school. I have most of all of my prereqs left to complete. I was just wondering how dental schools would take courses completed at foreign universities.

Thanks!

Answer you don't want to hear: American dental schools won't accept it. You can call up admissions offices and see for yourself, but I would be shocked in a DMD/DDS program here in the states would approve. They just don't credit/respect the same rigor of foreign universities to US university science classes (this is precisely why trained dentists from abroad have to re-take D3/D4 years with limited spots available). Don't do it unless you want every program throwing your application away.

You will not be the first applicant to dive into a pool without first checking to see if there is water in it nor the last one who won't bother to read the information readily available in the ADEA Guide.

Thank you for telling me honestly! I guess I will need to give up that option and stick with taking classes here.
